OKC Bombing Families/Victims Demand Pursuit of Ties to Islamic Terrorism

Washington, DC (TLS). As reported previously on The Liberty Sphere, the Congressional panel that was charged with the responsibility of delving into the Oklahoma City bombing and its handling by the FBI and the Department of Justice has issued a report charging obstruction by the aforementioned agencies. Both the FBI and the Department of Justice refused to cooperate with the Congressional panel by failing to comply with requests for information, documents, records, and other sources of communication, including the methods used to track down leads in the case.

The Committee concluded that the government's handling of the OKC bombing raises more questions than it answers, particularly in light of how quickly the two American front-men were executed, permanently burying any possible testimony that would help answer the questions raised. One glaring unanswered question is why did the FBI and the Department of Justice fail to pursue definite links between the OKC bombing and Islamic terrorism. Records show that foreign terrorists had traceable links to McVeigh and Nichol. Yet these two men alone were railroaded through the court system and executed expeditiously while there are others sitting on death row who have had their cases tied up in the criminal justice system for decades.

Information has been received today that the families and victims of the OKC bombing are demanding pursuit of the ties between Islamic terrorism and the OKC bombing. They are growing increasingly impatient with the slowness of the federal agencies involved to provide solid answers to their questions, as well as the questions raised by the Congressional panel.

There is much more here than what meets the eye. It is no secret, for example, that the Clinton Administration, under which the FBI and the Department of Justice operated during the aftermath of the OKC bombing, was very reluctant to acknowledge or face the danger to the U.S. posed by Islamic terrorists. The first World Trade Center bombing in the early 90s, countless embassies that were bombed, and the strike against the USS Cole were largely left unchallenged by the Clinton Administration, which preferred to view such acts of war as 'a law enforcement issue.' This is on top of the fact that the Clinton Administration botched several opportunities to get Osama bin Laden. For the Clinton Administration to acknowledge that the OKC bombing was in any way connected to Islamic terrorists would challenge the accepted modus operandi--downplay the significance of the threat of Islamic terrorism for the fear that it would incite demands from the public that the government engage military action against such terrorists and their state sponsors.

Here is part of the article from WorldNetDaily:

'Survivors and families of victims of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing are pressing lawmakers on Capitol Hill to take action on a congressional report that offers evidence of possible Islamic and foreign ties to the terrorist attack and concludes unanswered questions remain that could affect national security.

'One victim advocacy group, VOTIVES, urges the new Congress to "take a serious stance against those in the FBI and the Department of Justice who impeded the original investigation" of the attack, which killed 168 people and wounded another 684.

'VOTIVES spokeswoman Gloria Chipman, whose husband Bob Chipman was killed by the blast at age 51, told WND she was "ecstatic" about the release of the report Dec. 27 by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., but now she wants something done about its conclusions, including accusations of obstruction by the FBI and the Department of Justice.'

My name is Gloria Chipman. I am passing along the Press Release our group sent to WND, which resulted in the article they published which you comment on. I am passing it on so that your readers, and all of America will stand up and have their voices heard. The OKC Bombing did not just happen to us, though we were the recepients;injured, dead, scared for life physically and emotionally, but it happened to this Nation. Here is our Press Release:Victims of Terrorism Information and Vital Exchange Services

    Press Release

Victims of Terrorism Information and Vital Exchange Services
    V.O.T.I.V.E.S

Widows and widowers of the Oklahoma City Bombing formed V.O.T.I.V.E.S in August of 2001. This core group has been together since the bombing of April 19, 1995. We have grown to include bombing survivors, family members, and concerned citizens from across the nation.

Congressman Dana Rohrabacher’s report entitled The Oklahoma City Bombing: Was There A Foreign Connection? By the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the House International Relations Committee, clearly omitted additional information in Congressman Rohrabacher’s possession. We hope that the omissions are due to his turning over the additional information to a Domestic Oversight Committee for further investigation.

As presented in Rohrabacher’s Report, we hope that the newly sworn in 110 Congress will take a serious stance against those in the FBI and the Department of Justice who impeded the original investigation, the capture of John Doe 2, and “Others Unknown, into the Oklahoma City Bombing. We also hope, this newly elected Congress “of the people”, will investigate further and bring to justice, those that had prior knowledge of the bombing and did nothing to prevent it, as outlined in court released documents and FBI 302’s obtained by Jesse Trentadue in his FOIA suite against the FBI. We contend that the senseless death and carnage of that day, which was forced on our loved ones, citizens and innocent children, could have been prevented.

Evidence from the above-mentioned report shows the Oklahoma City Bombing case and the “then worst terrorist attack” on American soil is still an open murder investigation. With “others unknown” not yet apprehended, there is still a security threat to our country.

We ask too, that a domestic subcommittee investigation take seriously the claims by Terry Nichols of knowing the “others unknown” as outlined in an affidavit dated Nov. 8, 2006, which can be found in its entirety on Intelwire.com. This 11-page affidavit outlines his knowledge of others unknown and how he has been prevented from getting this information out to the public.

On January 4, 2007, the House of Representatives stood solemnly and prayed over this country and the offices they now hold in the 110 Congress. A portion of their prayer was that, “… the legislators of the 110 Congress may challenge, inspire and lead them to put aside self interests, to pursue the common good of all the people of this nation, and of especially of those who need them the most.”

We, the victims of the Oklahoma City Bombing are among those that need you most! This country needs you to stand for Justice, where Justice has not been served.
