Dems To Use 'Fairness Doctrine' to Silence Conservatives

Liberals have tried everything to gain a national audience that rivals that of conservative talk radio. Numerous attempts have been undertaken to start liberal radio networks, liberal talk radio, and the like, all to no avail. The public simply doesn't buy it. They cannot win in the court of public opinion when their views are truly laid out for all to see.

Thus, they turn to the underhanded method, demanding 'equal time.' Their abject failure to make it in the marketplace has propelled them to try to hijack conservative radio by demanding that they be given free air time to answer Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and others.

This covert attempt to hijack the airwaves under the guise of 'fairness' must to stopped cold.

CNS News is reporting the following:

'Beware of Democrats reviving the "Fairness Doctrine," conservative groups are warning. Various Democrats have announced their intention to revive the legislation that once required competing viewpoints to get equal time on the nation's airwaves. Conservatives believe Democrats want to revive the Fairness Doctrine to muzzle the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and other conservatives who now dominate talk radio. Senator Bernie Sanders, an avowed socialist from Vermont, has been quoted as saying that he will push such a measure in the Senate. Under the "fairness doctrine," the FCC could require radio and television stations to give liberals "equal access" to the airwaves. The effect would be to shut down conservative talk-radio, as one conservative leader warned in December.'
