MUSLIM HEAD CHOPPERS STRIKE AGAIN

Within the last week we have witnessed extremist Islam rear its ugly head around the world as the head-choppers ratcheted up their activity.

First, it was in the United States as a Muslim TV station owner beheaded his wife in what is being described in Islam as an 'honor killing.' The woman was seeking a divorce from her abusive husband, according to co-workers.

Then, a journalist covering a rally in Pakistan was shot and beheaded by Islamic extremists just after the Pakistani government agreed to allow the Taliban in the Swat Valley of the country to restore Sharia Law in the area.

However, this is only the tip of the iceberg. As you will see by reading this thorough pictorial report provided by Atlas , the devaluing of women, including severe physical and emotional abuse, as well as 'honor killing,' is fairly widespread among Muslim populations around the world.

The pictures and stories of the women highlighted by Atlas are only a very small sampling. And, in our politically correct world of totally overlooking the carnage and barbarism of Islam, the movers and shakers in government and the mainstream media are engaging in implicit approval of this kind of intolerable behavior.

Obama's Murky Connections with Muslim Extremists

Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama has a long history of associations with persons of dubious character, not the least of which are the likes of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and Father Michael 'Snuffy' Pfleger.

This may be only the tip of the iceberg, however.

Obama's associations with extremists within the world of Islamofascism should be cause enough to stop any potential supporter dead in their tracks.

It has been common knowledge for quite some time that Obama supports a Palestinian state and a divided Jerusalem. True, Condi Rice supports the same thing, as do others within the Bush administration.

But Obama's attempt to hide his support for such things by claiming before a group of Jews two weeks ago that he 'supports a united Jerusalem under the control of Israel' should give rise to serious questions concerning the candidate's honesty, his blatant duplicity, and his frantic attempts to keep his more extremist views under the cover.

It is no coincidence, then, that the candidate has recently claimed that Hamas and Hezbollah are terrorist organizations while at the same time supporting policies that favor both.

And as for Israel, Obama potentially represents one of the most dangerous threats to their existence that has ever proceeded from a major American political figure.

Obama, for example, in answering questions from reporters, stated forthrightly that both Hamas and Hezbollah have 'legitimate goals.' Which goals, exactly, of these two terrorist organizations are legitimate?

The reporter in question never posed a follow-up to allow Obama to explain himself, nor did the reporter flinch when the candidate made that statement--a statement which represents one of the most outlandish and dangerous points of view a potential President could have.

Obama's contention that Hamas and Hezbollah's goals are legitimate is tantamount to claiming that Al Qaeda makes an excellent point about the West, or that the Nazis, after all, had worthy objectives when they came to power in Germany.

These explosive and wildly wrong-headed notions concerning Hamas and Hezbollah were not lost on the two organizations. Both strongly support Barack Obama for President of the United States. This is in spite of Obama's most recent disclaimers during which he claims support for Israel and claims to believe both Hamas and Hezbollah are terrorist organizations.

It seems that the leadership within the two groups know the real score. One leader in particular stated that he understood that Obama had to play the political game by denouncing them and cozying up to Israel, but that they all know that the candidate truly supports their objectives.

This, my friends, is an explosive revelation.

And the notion that Obama privately supports Hamas and Hezbollah is certainly confirmed by his associations through the years in the U.S.

Taliban Gearing Up for Siege to Re-take Country

Intelligence reports from Afghanistan, including those of observers on the ground, indicate that the Taliban has regrouped and is gearing up for a massive siege, the goal of which is re-taking control of the country.

U.S. forces and NATO had forced the Taliban from power in the early days of the War on Terror, and many top Taliban operatives were either killed or jailed.

But those who remained jailed were freed from prison over this past weekend by a series of explosions planted by Taliban fugitives. The prison escapees were known Taliban operatives who had been trained as suicide bombers and head-choppers.

Since the prison-break, news reports from the region indicate that the Taliban has retaken areas in southern Afghanistan and is now gearing up for a massive, concerted effort to seize control of the country.

The State Department is denying these reports. Yet sources outside the U.S. and within NATO indicate that the U.S. and its allies are monitoring these developments with a wary eye.

Deposing the Taliban was a vital and important first step in fighting the War on Terror. And if this dangerous, extremist group comes back to power in Afghanistan, it would be a significant setback in the West's attempts to keep the lid on terrorism around the world.

Jihadist Head-Choppers Escape From Prison

In a stunning set-back for the U.S.-led War on Terror in Afghanistan, nearly 400 Taliban prisoners--most of them suicide bombers--have escaped from a prison in an area of southern Afghanistan.

The Taliban was identified early-on as some of the most dangerous of the head-chopping, suicide-bombing Jihadist segment of Islam.

News reports from Fox News, NBC, and others indicate that members of the exiled Taliban in Afghanistan set off a series of explosions at the prison, allowing inmates to escape. Of the estimated 1000 escapees, nearly 400 are said to be suicide bombers who belong to the Taliban.

The escapees immediately headed for the hillsides of the country, making them very difficult to track due to the rugged terrain.

Observers suggested that perhaps the prison break represents a new phase of the world-wide War on Terror. With most of the Taliban in prison and with Al Qaeda crushed, the incidents of beheadings around the world have plummeted. Suicide bombings have also been in decline.

However, now that some of the most dangerous Taliban operatives have escaped from prison, officials fear that the group could be reorganizing in an attempt to retake Afghanistan and re-assert their prominence in the world of terrorism.

The news comes at a very bad time. Just this week U.S. officials stated that a terrorist plan to bomb the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta was uncovered and averted. The Toronto Star reported that not only were the Jihadists gunning for Atlanta with truck-laden bombs, but they were planning to strike Toronto and Chicago as well in hopes of killing upwards of 1 million Americans.

Yet the mainstream media is totally ignoring the story, and only the Toronto Star is reporting it.

Thus, my friends, terrorism should be back on the front page of the news as it has become clear that suicide bombers and head-choppers are back on the loose. And the escape of Taliban operatives is only more reason to be concerned.

Notes From Here and There

In just three days the Iowa Caucuses will kick off the 2008 Presidential campaigns in earnest. Polls have been all over the board in both Parties. In fact, voter preferences have been so fluid that we think it is fairly impossible to predict who will win on either side.

Although he is in 3rd place, Fred Thompson has a chance to pull an upset. He is within striking distance of front runner Mike Huckabee, and the money Thompson raised during his two-day blogburst blitz last week will mean he can inundate the state with a barrage of TV and radio ads in the last three days of campaigning.

This could make a huge difference.

On the Democratic side some observers indicate that Barack Obama has begun to lose some of his luster, despite Oprah Winfrey's 'Barack and Oprah Road Show.' Nonetheless, there is also widespread discontent with Hillary. Does this mean that John Edwards is the beneficiary?

This is hard to say. We do not see Edwards winning any primaries, but we have been proved wrong before.



Pakistani officials now claim that popular opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was not killed by bullets but by a severe bump to the head. Apparently the shots that rang out missed the charismatic Bhutto but rattled the vehicle in which she was traveling. When she attempted to duck back inside the vehicle she sustained blunt-force trauma to the head, resulting in death.

Nonetheless, Pakistani officials also claim they know who was behind the assassination.

A pro-Taliban leader with connections to Al Qaeda, who resides in the lawless tribal section of Pakistan where terrorists have found safe haven, was quoted from a document obtained by the Interior Ministry as congratulating the assassins for a 'job well-done.'

Baitullah Mehsud is suspected for perpetrating the attacks and is implicated in a series of other terrorist attacks within Pakistan.

In addition, there are widespread reports of violence and unrest throughout Pakistan in the wake of the funeral of Bhutto.



The Baltimore Chronicle suggested this week on its op-ed page that a global warming catastrophe could rid the world of conservatives. As areas in the Southeast, the Deep South, the Southwest, and the Great Plains States are devastated by rising temperatures, residents will be forced out, supposedly to take haven in the cooler areas of the northeast and Great Lakes region, which somehow will be spared the doom.

It is then, as the writer suggests, that these conservatives should be forced to endure sub-citizen status and not allowed to participate in the political process, 'due to their hate-filled and single-minded desire to do nothing about global warming.'

The writer hails this as a wonderful thing.

But apparently neither the writer nor the Chronicle have been reading the template of their own movement. According to the script followed by the Algore people and the more militant global warming proponents, the end result of global warming will not be unendurable heat but a massive ice age caused by gigantic, hurricane-like storms that will engulf the entire planet, which will catapult the Earth into a devastating ice age.

These storms, which will be fueled by the warmer air, will have the net result of ridding the Earth of the warmer air, plunging temperatures into danger zones like the planet has never seen since the last Ice Age. Thus, those who survive will be forced South.

Just think, the pompous-assed northeasterners and Great Lakes elitists will be forced into territory where Bubbas love their guns and dislike Yankee liberals. I don't think I would be mouthing off about how you plan to punish Bubba if he is forced up into your area. He just may have a few surprises of his own waiting for you when you get here to thaw out of the deep freeze.

'CONVERT OR DIE!' The Mantra of Muslim Extremists

Washington, DC (TLS). The global jihad is a fight to the death whether we like it or not, whether we choose it or not. The ultimatum has already been chosen for us by those who intend to kill us unless we convert.

Proof positive of the ultimate goal of Muslim extremists is a statement that surfaced from the Taliban in Pakistan over the weekend. Pakistani Christians were informed by the Taliban that they can avoid death...IF they convert.

This is the mindset of the Islamic Jihadists. Convert to Islam or you WILL be killed.

The Dick Cheney Factor

Washington, DC (TLS). Despite assurances from the U.S. military that Vice-President Dick Cheney was not the target of an assassination attempt yesterday during a trip to Afghanistan, the Taliban wasted no time claiming that the Vice-President was, indeed, a target. Cheney himself has made it clear that he believes that he was a target and that the attack occurred in close proximity, so close in fact that Cheney says he heard an extremely loud boom. This is all in spite of the military's official statement that Cheney was 'well out of danger when the attack occurred.'

Taliban leaders stated late yesterday that they had full knowledge of the Vice-President's itinerary and his whereabouts.

I will make no attempt to prove or disprove an assassination attempt against Cheney here. I simply take the Taliban at its word. It is no secret that both the Taliban and Al Qaeda would consider the assassination of either Cheney or Bush to be a great triumph of extremist Islam. Thus, we can be thankful that Cheney narrowly escaped the murderous clutches of one of the most dangerous terrorist organizations in the world.

Not everyone in America shares those sentiments, however.

In November of last year, the Huffington website posted a poem in the form of a prayer. The subject of the poem was a man who was praying for the death of Dick Cheney, the result of a massive heart-attack. Numerous conservative columnists and bloggers screamed to high heaven about the despicable display, and Huffington eventually took down the poem from her site.

Yesterday, however, various and sundry extremist Leftist bloggers began their verbal carnage once again, lamenting the fact that Cheney did not die in the assassination attempt in Afghanistan.

One such blogger wrote that he could not ascertain whether it would be better for Cheney to be assassinated, since obviously conservatives would use his martyrdom to sing his praises, or for Cheney to live so that he can eventually be brutally dragged through the mud in the wake of charges of 'crimes against humanity.' The mere fact that a blogger would even be musing about such a dreadful and inhumane subject is a chilling example of just how far into the abyss the Left has fallen.

There was a time in America when treason and sedition were vigorously prosecuted.

Those days are no more. America seems to have as many enemies among its own citizens as it does among terrorists overseas.

Has it occurred to all of you as it has to me that each and every outrageously hateful and extremist position that is taken by terrorists seems to be echoed by the far-Left in this country? With some of our own citizens writing on the Internet that they are sorry that Cheney was not assassinated, apparently we have as much to fear from them as we do the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

Therefore, this column is dedicated to the honor of Vice President Dick Cheney, the man that most of us conservatives wish were President. If ever there were a consistently brave, patriotic voice in this government, it is that of Dick Cheney. He has stood his ground in the face of stinging opposition. He has been a bold soldier in the fight for liberty and justice in the face of terrorism. He has not hesitated to point out the irrationality and hypocrisy of Leftists in Congress, pointedly at times.

I for one am proud to call him my Vice President, and The Liberty Sphere is thankful that his life was spared in the wake of an assassination attempt by some of the most despicable human beings on the planet.

And the Leftists in this country who hailed the attempt on Cheney's life fall into a category even lower than the terrorists. They are ours, and yet they say such things. They are scum-bags who are to be loathed.
