The U.N.'s Toothless Resolution Against N. Korea

Once again, the U.N. shows just how impotent and relatively useless it is in its lame response to the North Korean nuclear bomb test.

The words on the screen are eerily reminiscent of another era in American history--the days of the Cuban Missile Crisis during which Russia aimed nuclear missiles at the U.S. just 90 miles away in the Communist haven of Fidel Castro.

As Obama and the Democrats focus on removing trade and travel restrictions to the Communist country, Cuba is preparing to allow Russian bombers to utilize its air bases. So is Venezuela.

The newly forged Communist-Jihadist Axis of Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, and North Korea is beginning to show its potential force which will pose a major problem for the West, particularly in light of the fact that Obama has nixed the Bush plan to set up a nuclear shield to protect free nations from the new menace.

N. Korea: Expel S. Koreans Deemed 'Unnecessary'

North Korea has referred to South Korean tourists in the area of the Mt. Geumgang resort as 'unnecessary,' and has ordered them to be expelled.

In July a soldier in the so-called 'Korean People's Army' of North Korea shot dead a South Korean tourist in the resort area.

The murder prompted South Korea to suspend all tours to the region.

But a unit of the Korean People's Army that is stationed in the Mt. Geumgang resort has indicated that South Koreans are not welcome and that it will conduct a systematic effort to expel those it deems 'unnecessary.'

Wonder how many other human beings the Communist regime of North Korea deems 'unnecessary?'

Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, and Russia

Washington, DC (TLS). Iran's race to build and deploy a nuclear weapon involves a few key players that add up to a dire axis of destruction for the West. We now have proof positive that Iran has joined with North Korea and Venezuela to form a dangerous liaison of extremists who are intent on extending their power world-wide.

We also know that Russia is selling nukes to Syria and Iran.

Thus, while the Democrats in Congress sit twiddling their thumbs and going goo-goo gaa-gaa, the world edges ever closer to global nuclear war.

North Korean Nuclear Missiles Could Hit U.S.

Washington, DC (TLS). According to an official of the Defense Intelligence Agency, North Korea in all likelihood has the technology to build a long-range nuclear missile capable of hitting the United States. The disclosure was made before the Senate Armed Services Committee by Lieutenant General Michael Maples, director of the agency.

REALITY CHECK: Showdown Between U.S. and Iran

Washington, DC (TLS). The coming showdown between the United States and Iran is inevitable. The only question is, will America face such a showdown from a position of strength or weakness?

This is the question Mideast expert and journalist Caroline Glick asks in her new column. As Glick correctly points out, President Bush and Secretary Rice are gambling with high stakes in hopes that their latest foreign policy adventures in the Mideast and North Korea will buy them time. To be fair, however, Congress is putting unprecedented pressure on the President to halt all American involvement in the region.

Nancy Pelosi AND Hillary Clinton both stated this week that the President doesn't even have the power to launch an attack on Iran, in spite of the fact that we have proof positive they are supplying missiles and weapons to kill our soldiers and Iraqi citizens. This is not to mention their nuclear weapons program.

Apparently Pelosi and Clinton are not aware of the Presidential powers granted by the U.S. Constitution. The country can carry out limited missions to dismantle Iran's nuclear plants and its government headquarters without a declaration of all-out war from Congress. Bill Clinton utilized this power many times. But, as always, with Democrats this tactic is only justifiable if one of THEM does it.

When that dreadful day comes as the U.S. will be forced to face down a nuclear Iran, we can lay the blame squarely at the feet of pacifistic cowards like Pelosi and Clinton--and John Murtha--for the carnage that will surely befall us if we are in a weakened position.

Better to nip this beast in the bud NOW while it is yet an infant.
