BOMBSHELL! CLINTON PLANTED QUESTION AT GOP DEBATE

Overshadowing the issues discussed during Wednesday night's GOP debate is the stunning revelation that Hillary Rodham Clinton planted a questioner at the debate. CNN's Anderson Cooper quickly responded to the discovery by saying that neither he nor the network were aware that the questioner worked for the Clinton campaign.

Thus, CNN's ineptitude and bias, and Mrs. Clinton's sleaze overshadow almost everything else.

A question was taken from a member of the audience at the debate concerning the U.S. military's policy of 'don't ask don't tell' regarding gays. But it turns out that the questioner, Keith Kerr, a retired Colonel in the U.S. Army and a retired Brigadier General of the California National Reserve, is a member of Hillary Rodham Clinton's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Americans for Hillary Steering Committee.

Kerr is also part of a filming crew that is attempting to overturn the policy of 'don't ask don't tell.'

Hence, the oozing, dripping sleaze of the Clinton campaign comes staring American voters in the face as she has been caught red-handed, once again, engaging in 'question planting.'

As for Anderson Cooper, he admitted in the final moments of CNN's post-debate commentary that Kerr was a member of the Clinton campaign, and had he known this fact he would have disclosed it.

Pardon me, Mr. Cooper, but don't you mean you would have disallowed the 'plant' to ask a question at all? That would have been the only honorable and ethical thing to do.

But of course, when your network is practically the television division of the Clinton Campaign, why would we expect you to disqualify a questioner who is there under false pretenses, particularly when that questioner works for Hillary Clinton?

And thus, my friends, we are treated to yet another example of Hillary's sleaze and CNN's bias.

As for the debate, so what that Rudy and Mitt had a knock-down, drag-out over immigration? These guys are practically a part of the angel Gabriel's choir when compared to the corruption exhibited by CNN and Mrs. Clinton, Bill's wife.

Thompson's First Debate Test Tuesday

Republican Presidential hopeful Fred Thompson will make his first debate appearance Tuesday as he joins the other GOP candidates in a forum in Dearborn, Michigan.

The debate is being sponsored by the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and MSNBC, and will be telecast on CNBC at 4 PM ET with a re-broadcast on MSNBC at 9 PM ET.

Focusing on economic issues, the debate will last for 2 hours.

The buzz surrounding this particular forum is unique for one in a string of fairly forgettable 'debates' held thus far by both political Parties. The thing that is saving this debate from a ho-hum flip of the channel button is the appearance of Fred Thompson.

The long-anticipated entrance of Thompson into the race has created interest on the part of politicos and even interested citizens in the electorate who wish to see how the candidate stacks up against his rivals in the GOP race for the nomination.

One commentator, writing in the New York Post, stated that this was do-or-die for Thompson and that unless he comes through with a stellar performance he is all washed up.

This seems to us to be unnecessary melodramatic overkill. A lackluster performance on Thompson's part will certainly not help, given that so much fanfare has tended to revolve around his entrance into the race. He has much to live up to. But a less-than-excellent showing will not doom him by any stretch. It is still early yet, and he has tons of support.

On the other hand a strong showing by Thompson will certainly secure for him an image of 'gravitas' that will more than likely put him over the top against Rudy Giuliani, who supposedly still leads in the polls but whose numbers actually put him in a statistical tie with Thompson.

FOX EXCLUDES GOP CANDIDATES FROM DEBATE

Washington, DC (TLS). The Liberty Sphere has learned that Fox News Channel is planning on excluding the majority of the GOP candidates from a debate scheduled for May 15, 2007, in Columbia, South Carolina. The South Carolina Republican Party is co-sponsoring the debate along with Fox News.

According to sources planning the event, Fox and the S.C. GOP is considering excluding 7 of the 10 GOP candidates from the televised debate.

Those sources also state that the agreement with the candidates was that only those who polled more than 1% of likely voters would be invited to the debate. This excludes candidates such as Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul, Sam Brownback, and Mike Huckabee, among others.

This would mean that the May 15 South Carolina debate will feature only Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, and Mitt Romney.

However, on Thursday night of this week, May 3, MSNBC is sponsoring a GOP debate that features ALL of the announced candidates.

Needless to say, many conservatives are in an uproar about the South Carolina debate. It has even been suggested that the S.C. Republican Party is deliberately excluding the most conservative voices in the field of candidates, in order to showcase Giuliani, McCain, and Romney.

S.C.'s two Republican Senators may have a stake in this decision. Senator Lindsey Graham supports McCain, while Senator Jim DeMint supports Romney.

The vast majority of Republican voters in South Carolina, however, are solidly conservative, and many clearly do not feel that the top three candidates in the field best represent their views. This is why such a decision to exclude conservatives from the debate appears very odd to most GOP insiders in the state, given the fact that it is still very early in the campaign.

It is time for the South Carolina Republican Party and Fox News to hear from you, the voters. Demand that ALL GOP candidates participate in the May 15 debate. This is only fair.
