Hillary Clinton's Anti-Gun Agenda

Washington, DC (TLS). The following facts were gleaned from various news sources over a period of years. The subject matter is Hillary Clinton's views on guns. As the following examples will show, Hillary falls within the camp of 'anti-gun bigots,' those who would blame firearms, not the evil deeds of wayward human beings, for every example of violence in the nation.

For this reason, Hillary has received a grade of 'F-' from Gun Owners of America.

As you will see below, Hillary Clinton favors a national database of registered gun owners--the very same tactic the Nazis used in Germany prior to taking over the country and confiscating guns. In addition, rather than pointing to the obvious logical conclusion that the violence of Columbine could have been stopped cold had teachers and school administrators been armed, Hillary instead seeks to tighten gun control measures.

'Hillary Rodham Clinton offered her support for a legislative proposal to license hand guns. The legislation, sponsored by Sen. Charles Schumer, would require anyone who wants to purchase a gun to obtain a state-issued photo gun license. “I stand in support of this common sense legislation to license everyone who wishes to purchase a gun,” Clinton said. “I also believe that every new handgun sale or transfer should be registered in a national registry, such as Chuck is proposing.”'

'A month after the Columbine shootings, Bill & I went to Littleton Colorado to visit with the families of victims & survivors. The Columbine tragedy was not the first, nor the last, episode involving gun violence at an American high school. But it ignited a call for more federal action to keep guns out of the hands of the violent, troubled and young--a lethal combination. Bill and I announced a proposal to raise the legal age of handgun ownership to 21, and limit purchases of handguns to one per month.'

'We have to do everything possible to keep guns out of the hands of children, and we need to stand firm on behalf of the sensible gun control legislation that passed the Senate and then was watered down in the House. It does not make sense for us at this point in our history to turn our backs on the reality that there are too many guns and too many children have access to those guns-and we have to act to prevent that.'

Hillary Clinton voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers.

'A bill to prohibit civil liability actions from being brought or continued against manufacturers, distributors, dealers, or importers of firearms or ammunition for damages, injunctive or other relief resulting from the misuse of their products by others. Voting YES would:

'Exempt lawsuits brought against individuals who knowingly transfer a firearm that will be used to commit a violent or drug-trafficking crime

'Exempt lawsuits against actions that result in death, physical injury or property damage due solely to a product defect

'Call for the dismissal of all qualified civil liability actions pending on the date of enactment by the court in which the action was brought

'Prohibit the manufacture, import, sale or delivery of armor piercing ammunition, and sets a minimum prison term of 15 years for violations

'Require all licensed importers, manufacturers and dealers who engage in the transfer of handguns to provide secure gun storage or safety devices.'

Hillary Clinton voted NO on banning lawsuits against gun manufacturers for gun violence.

'The bill would block certain civil lawsuits against manufacturers, distributors, dealers and importers of firearms and ammunition, mainly those lawsuits aimed at making them liable for gun violence. In this bill, trade groups would also be protected. The bill would call for the dismissal of pending lawsuits against the gun industry. The exception would be lawsuits regarding a defect in a weapon or ammunition. It also would provide a 10-year reauthorization of the assault weapons ban which is set to expire in September 2004. The bill would increase the penalties for gun-related violent or drug trafficking crimes which have not resulted in death, to a minimum of 15 years imprisonment. The bill calls for criminal background checks on all firearm transactions at gun shows where at least 75 guns are sold. Exemptions would be made available for dealers selling guns from their homes as well as members-only gun swaps and meets carried out by nonprofit hunting clubs.'

As you can see from the record, Hillary Rodham Clinton is an avowed anti-gun bigot who believes 'there are too many guns.' That statement alone is ample proof that her theory, when carried to its logical conclusion, is based upon the premise that we must reduce the number of guns in society, since there are too many. The practical outgrowth of this premise is ominous. The only way one can reduce the number of guns in society is to enact extreme measures that violate the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

In other words, the right to own and bear arms must be abridged, limited, and violated--in direct contradiction to the Constitution which states that such a right shall NOT be abridged.

It is no surprise that Clinton and her comrades in today's Democrat Party seek to rob citizens of their Constitutional rights. And, as I have warned before on The Liberty Sphere, if they can go after our gun rights, there is no reason to believe they won't go after our FIRST Amendment rights as well.

Sadly, this is precisely what happened as the Democrat-controlled Senate attempted to silence free speech with a silly and oppressive attempt to stop citizens from urging each other to contact Congress concerning pending legislation. Hillary Clinton voted against free speech rights in this regard, thus placing her on The Liberty Sphere's Blacklist of Senate Traitors.

Thus, the war on gun rights is merely a symptom of a broader war--the war on liberty. And Hillary Clinton is one of the Generals in that war.

This looks like a case of self defense. The fellow in the car, after being punched, had been physically threatened. He was legally carrying his gun with a carry permit.

Anonymous,

It appears your comment is not in regard to this particular post. What, exactly, are you referring to here? Are you thinking about the Border Patrol agents?

Both Hillary Clinton and barack hussein obama are well documented anti-gun politicians. IF you value your constitutional rights, you had better not vote either of these fools in the White House!
