New York attacks First Amendment in addition to guns

Excerpt:

"It has long been said by gun rights activists and Constitutional scholars that the Second Amendment secured the rights delineated in the First Amendment, that were it not for the fact that the people used firearms against tyranny, they would have never secured the protections of the First Amendment for freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, and the freedom of the people to assemble.

"Now that New York has effectively hamstrung the Second Amendment protections of the right to keep and bear arms, it is now free to attack the First Amendment rights of its citizens without having to reap the consequences of its actions."

Is it now time for a firearms black market?

Gun rights activists have warned from the beginning of the latest push for gun bans and gun control that any new law infringing on Second Amendment protections for citizens to keep and bear arms will result in a massive black market for firearms on a scale never before seen in human history, not even during Prohibition.

Just as Prohibition on alcohol failed miserably due to mass noncompliance among the electorate, so will any new firearms law fail due to the refusal of citizens to submit to government authority. Citizens will merely forsake licensed gun dealers, registration, background checks, and limits on ammo by turning to the black market.

If you have a "license" they know who you are and what you carry. DEFY THEM! REGISTER NOTHING. And carry your firearms without getting a license from the Commie-Nazi jackbooted thugs.

Gang of 16 GOP traitors betray gun owners

A gang of 16 Republicans joined a near-unanimous Democrat caucus to proceed to the floor of the U.S. Senate to consider a gun control bill that will criminalize most private sales of firearms between citizens, unless they are subject to background checks.

Fourteen Republicans had pledged to filibuster the move. But only two Democrats opposed the gun control measure, and with the gang of 16 Republican turncoats joining the Democrat majority, the filibuster group failed to garner enough support to sustain the filibuster.

Apparently the looming threat to the Democrats who serve red states that are heavily populated with Republican voters was not enough to prevent most from voting in favor of the infringement on the Second Amendment.

Toomey lies to constituents about gun control deal

On Monday the Examiner learned that U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., was in negotiations with U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., on a compromise gun control bill that would vastly expand background checks to include private transactions, citizen to citizen.

No sooner had the Examiner published the stunning information that took even moderate Republicans off guard than Toomey's office was in damage control mode, denying that the senator was involved in any deal on gun control.

One of Toomey's constituents told the Examiner that he had contacted the senator's office personally to complain...

Colo. State Police, DHS target Christians as 'extremists'

In the early days of the newly elected Obama administration in 2009, many citizens were shocked to learn that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had issued an internal memo that referred to conservative Christians who believe the Bible, citizens who emphasize a strict adherence to the Constitution, and those who are pro-life as "potential homegrown terrorists."

Apparently such thinking has also begun to infect state police organizations and other law enforcement groups.
