Fast and Furious scandal receives renewed attention

(Notice. The part of this story referring to Attkisson's new information was found to be in error. Upon review the tweet she sent out concerning such new information referred to Obamacare and not the Fast and Furious scandal. This has been corrected in the text of the story at the Examiner. My apologies).
When the U.S. House of Representatives conducted its investigation into the Fast and Furious scandal, it appeared that a dead end had been reached when the Obama administration and Attorney General Eric Holder in particular refused to turn over subpoenaed documents and answer questions fully and truthfully.

The result was that Holder was held in contempt of Congress, a first for any Attorney General. And the investigation into the scandal was placed on the back burner due to the fact that the administration refused to provide material that was necessary for a thorough and complete investigation.
