The latest target of collectivists/progressives in the federal government is free speech and the alternative media. The objective is to hamstring both and for the most part silence them.
When
the Obama administration came to power in 2008, along with Democratic
supermajorities in both the House and the Senate, not only did
conservatives warn of fundamental change that would take aim at the
liberties of the people in general, but it was clear that some of the
specific targets would be free speech and alternative news agencies.
