Race riots ensue: 1960s redux

Excerpt:

"Two things are clear as the nation braces for further escalation of racial tensions in the days ahead. One, the nation has learned precious little from its past. And two, the current occupant of the White House, who was supposed to signal a nation totally healed from its racial sins of the past, has only served to revive and worsen racial tensions.

"During the 1960s America was beset by two distinct groups that took to the streets to stir up violence. Viet Nam War protesters were the source of one set of riots. Race protesters were the other."
