A U.S. Congressman, who served as a state prosecuting attorney and an attorney in the Department of Justice (DOJ), asked Tuesday, "If the president can kill Americans suspected of terror overseas, what is to prevent him from killing such Americans on our own soil?"
U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., told Greta Van Susteren of Fox News that under the new rules the Obama administration uses in its attempt to fight terror, the only process of making a determination as to whether or not an American citizen is a terrorist is an opinion issued by an unnamed official within the DOJ.
Gowdy noted that liberals, including Barack Obama, pitched a fit over the use of waterboarding in dealing with terrorists during the Bush administration...
