'Enthusiasm gap' may cripple Dems on election day

Pollsters have noted what is known as an "enthusiasm gap" in this year's presidential race. President Obama is not getting the level of dedication and enthusiasm among his supporters that he received in 2008. And Mitt Romney has managed to fire up the Republican base and capture the vast majority of independent voters.

The enthusiasm factor appears to be so crucial to next Tuesday's results that some Republican strategists have stated that a massive tsunami may be building in favor of Romney, so massive that Obama and the Democrats may be totally overwhelmed.
