Republican chances of winning Senate improving

Three reports issued today indicate that Republican chances of winning the U.S. Senate are improving. According to the reports, the odds of a GOP takeover are now better than even.

Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., pulled ahead of Akin in what was supposed to be slam dunk against the beleaguered senator.

But the news for Republicans vastly improved with the release of three reports today showing that in spite of a looming loss in Missouri, the Party stands a good chance at picking up enough seats to win the Senate -- better than the even odds predicted a month ago by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.
