A series of sex and spending spree scandals that has come to light in recent days involving misuse of taxpayer funds threatens doom for the Democrats in the 2012 elections. The latest scandal involves a top North Carolina Democrat who is embroiled in a controversy that could torpedo any chance of an Obama win in what is now considered a swing state.

Former North Carolina Democratic Party Executive Director Jay Parmley, who resigned from his post this week, is accused of sexual harassment by a former staffer.
