In spite of the fact that on Feb. 7 Missouri Republicans chose Rick Santorum as their preferred candidate to face Barack Obama in November, new evidence has come to light indicating that the campaigns of Mitt Romney and Ron Paul are conspiring to rig delegate choices in the state, resulting in the denial of delegates to Santorum which normally would be his.
In a phone conversation today with this reporter, Mark Wright, former Assistant Majority Leader of the Missouri House of Representatives and current member of the Greene County Republican Central Committee, states that within the last two days he has heard from numerous political operatives in the state who complain that the Romney and Paul camps are openly colluding to shut out Rick Santorum from receiving any delegates at all in multiple counties, in spite of his Feb. 7 win.
