White House bans cameras at daily news briefing

What is going on at the White House? First, Obama announces that he will no longer provide 'staged' news photos for reporters. Then, today it was announced that the White House will 'go dark,' that is, the press today was barred from live-casting the daily news briefings provided by Press Secretary Jay Carney.
Increasingly the White House is distancing itself from news reporters, withholding vital information from the press and the public, and essentially dictating to the media when and where they are allowed to video or take pictures of the President.

Second Amendment News Roundup for ... yesterday

Well, my friends, Blogger was down all day yesterday afternoon and for most of this morning. I had a Roundup ready but could not publish it. So, since I don't want to do all that work in vain, I am going to publish yesterday's Roundup, and then a bit later publish today's.

I notice that even now some of the links I had intended to use yesterday are no longer working.  Blogger must be gradually repairing whatever went wrong.  UGH!  Sooooo, I am forced to use only half of what I intended yesterday.  I am very sorry, folks.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Glad to be back up and running.

Will Patriots call for the help of our allies in the growing tyranny at home?

2012 will the most important year in American politics since the Civil War. That one election will determine whether the U.S. will adhere to the rule of law and not of men, as encapsulated in what is supposed to be the ultimate law of the land--the Constitution--or plunge the nation into a thousand years of darkness, succumbing to the forces of oppression, progressivim, and tyranny that have already gained a foothood within our own government.
What happens when our own government is so infiltrated by those intent on placing its jackboot on the throat of free citizens that the long-held, tried and tested principles of freedom are increasingly threatened with each passing day?
Are U.S. Patriots enough to stop the tyranny, or will there be a need to summon the help of certain allies who are just as committed to freedom as we are, such as Israel, Japan, India, or perhaps Great Britain?

Why the Obama brag campaign on bin Laden will backfire

The Obama campaign’s centerpiece for 2012 has now become clear. He and his handlers intend to use the death of Osama bin Laden as a selling point for the President’s re-election. This type of strategy can be referred to as the Obama ‘brag campaign.’
It is clear that the President intends to use the death of bin Laden to gain voters. He wants to be known as ‘the man who got bin Laden.’

Such shameless self-aggrandizement is not only wrong but highlights yet again the infamous Obama arrogance.

More GOP hopefuls on the way; beware compromise on core principles

Okay. Christie, Daniels, and Gingrich appear to be headed toward announcing their candidacy--Gingrich tomorrow.

But there is reason for great concern, as you will read at Conservative Examiner.

I think most of you who come here will share my concerns about these 3 men.

BTW, sorry about light blogging and no Roundup the last few days.  Circumstances beyond my control have thwarted my efforts in that regard.  That should change tomorrow, and everything will be back on course. Thanks for your understanding.

The Wonder of Wonders

Tonight's brief devotional, prayer, and song.

You can find it at Martin Christian Ministries.

Thanks, and God bless.

Tyranny Knocks at the Gate

For quite some time now the nation has witnessed the gradual erosion of freedom in this 'land of the free and hope of the brave.' During the era of the Progressives during the late 1800s and early 1900s we saw the first vestiges of this gradual erosion, and citizens began 'slouching toward tyranny' at first almost imperceptibly but later morphing into the fast-track we see today, particularly within the last 3 years.

All of America can celebrate the death of the Number One most wanted terrorist, Osama bin Laden, but while we were captivated by the story of the Navy Seals who acted bravely and admirably several disturbing matters took place out of public view, hidden in plain sight. Like the magician does his work with the 'other hand' we are not watching, so this Administration often does its dirty work with that 'other hand' while we are focused on big news elsewhere.

Slouching Toward Tyranny

An extremely important message to Patriots and to citizens who don't keep up with politics.

Read it at Conservative Examiner.

The 2012 election will decide if we will slide into 1000 years of oppression and tyranny where the collective good always trumps personal freedom, or if we demand a return to the freedoms described and protected by the Constitution.
