In spite of the fact that the Washington press corps's favorite sport is to bash Sarah Palin and her family in some of the most scornful and over-the-top rhetoric possible, reporters fell all over themselves trying to get their pictures taken with the potential Republican presidential contender at an annual brunch for special needs awareness. Politico is reporting today that Palin was clearly the star at the brunch, which is sponsored by Tammy Haddad and the Georgetown cocktail party set.
