Governor Nikki Haley, R-South Carolina, has some rather stark advice for Republicans. When the candidates gathered in the state Thursday evening for the very first GOP debate of the 2012 election cycle, Haley told them to avoid attacking Barack Obama. Instead, said Haley, Republicans need to focus on ideas, policies, and programs. The people need to know what we stand for and not just what we stand against, Haley maintains.
Haley herself is an embodiment of that principle.
