Democrats Announce They Will Ram Through Healthcare--Serious Unintended Consequences Will Result

Despite the fact that the American people have overwhelmingly rejected the proposals of Barack Obama and the Democrat-controlled Congress to take over the U.S. healthcare system in the name of 'reform,' Congressional leaders announced late Friday that they intend to ram it through using the 'reconciliation process,' which allows the majority party to pass bills with only 51 votes rather than the usual 60 votes.

The Democrats no longer have a super-majority in the Senate to block filibuster attempts on the part of Republicans. Thus, they do not have the votes to pass healthcare legislation.

But using the 'nuclear option' of reconciliation they can pass the 2400-page bill without a single Republican vote in either the House or the Senate. So much for 'bipartisanship' Obama always talks about.

Mark my words, if they do this, there will be serious 'unintended consequences' on the part of an already outraged public.
