"Media Bias and Obama's Teachable Moment"

One of the most respected journalists in the nation today, Mike McCarville, points to an excellent analysis of the media bias that occurred just after Barack Obama's gaffe concerning the Cambridge Police Department's handling of an incident involving a Harvard professor.

The analysis also highlights a 'teachable moment' for Obama in the handling of such matters in the future.

To be completely frank, one has the wonder about the stability and insight of a U.S. President wading into a local police matter, particularly before he has any knowledge of the facts.

Neither "stability" nor "insight" seem to apply to this particular president. Everything must always be about him, which is why he couldn't keep his mouth shut.

Even the PD here in Anchorage issued a press release, demanding an apology on behalf of police everywhere.

For a guy who needs the continued goodwill of the military and police departments to remain in power, Obama seems to delight in insulting them on a regular basis.

Teachable moment?

Once again we are reminded that it is impossible to discuss race in a meaningful way in this country as long as there are race baiters like Gates, Jackson, Sharpton, etc.
