Conservatives in Political No-Man's Land

In today's political climate, one begins to wonder if there is any place among the top political Parties where conservatives are warmly embraced.

This is the subject of my discussion today at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

We'll take a look at the political landscape and discuss some core conservative principles around which all conservatives should be able to unite.

Mr. Martin - there are no more 'kooks' in the Libertarian party than there are in any other party. The Press, in their seemingly endless lack of objectivity, simply portray all libertarians that way.

The fact is (and I have never read your work prior to today), your opinion in that Examiner piece clearly demonstrate you are libertarian.

Perhaps you could don that mantle with a little more confidence and actually write more from a libertarian point of view. We could use more voices like your's.

Thanks for the recommendation! As I said, I have no problem referring to myself as a libertarian conservative as distinguished from a member of the Libertarian Party. If I am wrong about the Party, I will certainly change my stance about that. But Parties, at this point in my life, are not attractive to me.

That could change, of course.
