This Article is Still Stirring Up the Pot

Every now and then one of my Examiner articles gets significant national attention that spills over into the next day. Such is the case with this one.

With public interest in Obama's government-run healthcare proposal at a fever pitch, articles like these are vital in order to get the truth out.

It is so nice to know you are out here. Some days, I think everybody I meet has gone insane. For some reason, people think magic fairies are going to give them free health care in a wonderland of lollipops and rainbows. The same people who think this way also gripe about the IRS. I ask them if they would want the IRS to decide if they need chemotherapy or not. And who is going to pay for these lollipops, people? We are BROKE!

Obama and those who think like him are a dangerous threat to our freedom. Did anybody out there actually HEAR what he said about old people in his (cough) town hall orgy with ABC? He said that your grandmother can just take painkillers and die. Yes, he did. All of you baby boomers need to take that to heart. You're getting older, and there's a good chance you will be the next in line for this "compassionate" healthcare. Just take a painkiller and die like a good little government cog in the wheel.

And what will happen to preventative care? If I get cancer, I surely want to catch it early.

Thank you very much. Please excuse me for my long speech. I am just very fired up about this. Please let us know if there are protests going on anywhere. I'm too chicken to put my name here, because I'm trying to find a job and build up a career in a highly liberal field (yes, they do blacklist nowadays). But I will happily attend any protest or maybe even start my own. Thanks again.

Thank-you very much for a thoughtful, well-reasoned, and well-written defense of liberty. And I agree 100%. The Baby Boomers will be the ones to feel the brunt of these draconian cuts in the quality and quantity of the care that will be delivered. They will simply let us die rather than spend money for those who are deemed 'too old or too sick' to be treated. Get ready for suffering as we have never, ever seen in America!
