Second Amendment News Roundup for 5/4/09

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

AFP reports that China has begun doing what many of us warned about all along--they are cutting back on buying U.S. debt and may stop altogether...an ominous sign since Obama will run up 10 trillion in debt over the next few years.

CNS News has an example of why Americans are increasingly outraged by the Obama spending and debt--the Feds will spend $400,000 to study the drinking and sex habits of homosexuals in Argentina. Say what!!???

Every Blade of Grass gives us a report on yesterday's day at the shooting range.

Armed Citizen has a MUST-read on the growing 'conservative underground' in these Obama days. Read it all.

The War on Guns posts an explosive story highlighting Nancy Pelosi's declaration that she and her Obama-minions are above the law!

From Codrea's Gun Rights Examiner: 'What's the Harm in Waiting for Government to Recognize Rights?'

The Newbius Papers provides essential reading entitled, 'Rational Arguments, Useful Idiots, and Liberty--A Call to Action.'

Nicki quotes a writer concerning the Barack Obama push toward socialism. It's worth taking a look.

JR has a most interesting read on the dumbing down of the public educational system.

Walls of the City presented an article on terrorism and the Napolitano Department of Homeland Security that pre-dates my article at Columbia Conservative Examiner today. I just saw his piece today, and I highly recommend it, because it confirms many of the points I made in that article. While we are having our attention diverted, the REAL danger to America is going unnoticed, including an outright attack on the rights of citizens.

Mike McCarville points to a perfect example of what Walls of the City is talking about--an Obama nominee to the DOJ who wants UN gun control. The spineless vermin are afraid to face the public with this chit, so they 'treaty-away' our rights by signing agreements with the UN. VERMIN!

Western Rifle Shooters Association follows up with this report of even more madness coming out of the Department of Homeland Security.

Alphecca reports that Texas is set to test it's sovereignty with gun rights.

2A Musing's got some ammo and other goodies. Take a look.

From Kurt Hofmann's St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner: 'Is It Possible to "Reform" the BATFE?' I don't think so. The entire operation should be shut down completely.

Tam comments on the expected move by BHO today to change the tax code to stop citizens from investing overseas.

Ride Fast and Shoot Straight has an interesting read on 'American War Crimes.'

Sebastian posts a pic of the marquis of a church in Maine that caters to gun and sporting enthusiasts. Now THAT is a church I could get into!

The Wandering Minstrel presents a MUST-read from Krauthammer on Obama's judicial philosophy--a philosophy which to me is very, VERY dangerous!

Conservative Libertarian Outpost has an important 'liberty alert' from Colorado that could have broad implications for national elections. Read it, and then ACT!

Say Uncle blogs on the impending demise of the Boston Globe. I hope the New York Times is next!

Standing By reports that a TSA agent stole a gun from the luggage of a police officer.

Mike Vanderboegh posts the personal, riveting, and moving story of his move from being a Communist to an ardent supporter and defender of our Constitutional Republic. In my opinion, no greater testament to the superiority of liberty over collectivism exists than the experience of one who at one time was on the other side and 'saw the light.'

Pax Parabellum says that the overwhelming majority of Americans are worried about Pakistan's nukes, given that the terrorists move closer and closer to seizing them. More 'hope and change' in these Obama days.

Robb Allen writes about the most lethal firearm he owns.

Texas Fred reports that Mexican drug smugglers have moved into New Mexico. Still don't think we should close the southern border?

Days of our Trailers comments on the fact that Paul Helmke is blowing his stack over all the latest polls showing a significant drop in support for gun control among the citizens.

From Insight on Freedom: 'WANTED: One Female, Minority, Socialist Supreme Court Nominee.'

Michelle Malkin issues a dire warning about the FCC's latest move on its 'diversity panel'--a move in the direction of the Fairness Doctrine that will silence conservative talk radio! Friends, this is SERIOUS! It's time to scream bloody murder.
