It seems that the persistent gun hysteria exhibited by Memphis' Commercial Appeal newspaper has reached the national publication NewsBusters.
The media watchdog publication reports that the Commercial Appeal's continued rants concerning gun rights, gun owners, and criminals with guns are simply over the top and lacking in the principles of rationality.

At any rate, it is definitely good that this is getting all of the national exposure it can - I sincerely doubt the Commercial Appeal staff will be convinced to take down the database out of shame, but it certainly does not hurt.
