Second Amendment News Roundup for 1/27/09

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

Sipsy Street Irregulars gets us started this Tuesday with the MUST-read of the day on why Obama and the Democrats are now focusing on the northern border rather than the southern border.

Atlas reports the explosive news that Obama's first TV interview as President is with the Arab news agency Al Arabiya. Then, scroll down for the next story. As soon as Obama gave the interview, terrorists in Gaza broke the cease-fire, killing an Israeli soldier.

Gateway Pundit has more on this story. Apparently the new President is a freakin' maniacal apologist for Muslim terrorists!

Say Uncle says that despite her negative rhetoric on the appointment of Kirsten Gillibrand to the U.S. Senate, gun-grabber Carolyn McCarthy donated money to her campaigns. There is something unseemly going on here, as we reported yesterday. The Gillibrand appointment is highly suspect.

Sebastian reports that U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyoming) can now be confirmed as a 'NO' on the Holder nomination. Good!

Robb Allen writes on an interesting case of overreaction to the nth degree.

Gun Nuts has all the information on tonight's edition of Gun Nuts Radio.

Of Arms and the Law posts good reading on 'traced guns vs. crime guns.'

Alphecca reports that a national CCW reciprocity bill has been introduced in Congress, although it is certain to go nowhere in the present Democrat-controlled government.

JR has news from the Fifty Caliber Institute and their new winner of the EDM windrunner.

Nicki reports that the streets of Ft. Wayne are a bit safer today. Read it to find out why.

David Codrea has a good one entitled, 'Teabagging Obama.'

Gun Rights Examiner posts Codrea's latest on Obama and assault weapons bans.

Western Rifle Shooters Association presents 'a cinematic preview of the coming excitement.'

Free in Idaho opines on the latest Supreme Court ruling that is cause for some alarm.

2A Musing reports on how Texas' 2 Senators voted on the tax cheat, Timothy Geithner.

Armed and Safe notes that voting against Holder isn't good enough. The game plan is to place a HOLD on the nomination, which means it can't come up for a vote.

St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner has Hofmann's latest on magazine capacity limits.

Brigid at Home on the Range shows us what's in her pockets...well, not her pockets exactly. That looks like a Taurus .38 Special there, Brigid. A woman after my own heart...

Blogonomicon comments on the news that hit yesterday on the worldwide war on free speech.

Blogstitution provides good reading today on the Constitution entitled, 'Powerless Because of the Law.'

The Wandering Minstrel posts essential reading from Ted Nugent on the Obamination.

Bloviating Zeppelin knocks it out of the ballpark with this one. You gotta see it. It's entitled, 'Master of Puppets.'

Notoriously Conservative posts an immensely helpful rundown on exactly how the stimulus money from Washington is being spent. The details tell the story.

The Rustmeister apparently has had a roller-coaster ride over at the Alehouse.

The Smallest Minority provides the quote of the day from the great Thomas Sowell.

Texas Fred has 'Obama--The First Week.'

An Ol' Broad's Ramblings presents today's edition of 'Obamarama.'

Gillibrand, good cop bad cop, designed to throw you off the trail. False flag. Don't buy any elected Democrat cares about your rights, on anything. Especially a New Yorker.

In the end, they will cave.

Democrats, raise taxes fund socialism and gun control. You connect the dots.
