I Regret My Vote for McCain

Against my better judgment after heaping criticism on the man during the GOP primaries, I supported John McCain in the general election against Barack Obama.

As I stated many times, I felt this was the most prudent course given the choices.

McCain is proving me dead wrong.

I regret voting for him. He has proved himself, once again, to be no friend of conservatives. He is cozying up to Obama and is positioning himself to be a good little foot-soldier for the Fuhrer in the Senate. And he has already criticized conservative Republicans over delaying confirmation of Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State.

Now that Barack Obama has outed himself for being the overbearing, overreaching bully that he is, McCain's overtures toward him is even more outrageous.

Barack Obama has, for all intents and purposes, declared war on conservatives. He wants us silenced. He wants powerful voices of opposition like Rush Limbaugh's silenced. How dare we question the mighty wisdom of the Messiah?

And to the degree that John McCain helps him in this war, McCain is from now on to be considered the enemy of conservatives as well. If he is going to support socialism as envisioned by Obama, then he may as well join the Democratic Party and be done with it.

It is time for real Republicans to grow some brass balls, step up to the plate, and tell Obama and McCain that we are not rolling over and playing dead. And if they refuse to show this backbone and courage, there will be an uprising/schism in the GOP the likes of which has never been seen in American politics.

This is the time for action. Our patience with compromising our principles is over. We are going to need every single patriot who loves this country and its Constitution to put it on the line. It's now or never.

When are people going to get it through their thick heads that ALL of them, (our beloved "representatives") are TRAITORS!!!!!
McCain is one of the worst. Do not give me the drivel about his time in the Hanoi Hilton. About what a friggin' hero he is. BULLSHIT!!!
Read the information that is our there. Check their voting records. Who are their monetary supporters?
WAKE the f**k up!!!
They are ALL bought and paid for. They All serve the same master, and he ain't our friend.
They DO NOT represent the sheeple that voted them into office.
Stop watching the lame stream media. Take you tv out of your house at a distance of 300 yards and use it for target practice. Get yourself into good spiritual, physical and emotional condition.
"It's" about to start.

But remember, Bob, we are 'bitter' and 'sad' little men.

Anon--obviously you don't know the difference between bitter and resolved. And you seem to confuse 'sad' with 'principled.'

I appreciate that you've rediscovered your principles, but I hope you realize that even considering a vote for McCain stomped your principles into the dust in the first place. Voting for McCain was the very definition of pragmatism. He hasn't changed one iota; only your willingness to objectively judge his actions has. His behavior now is absolutely no surprise to many.

Mccain has always sought the best press view of Mccain. He seeks his self aggrandisement first, his party and political power next and his country a distant third.
I swear the next time he announces he will 'walk across the aisle' on principle, he should stop there, and sit his ass down and stay there! He only talks about true constitutional principles if he thinks it will get votes for him. Someone once coined the phrase 'Strange New Respect' for those who migrate to a liberal view once in DC. When Mccain attacked Bush, he was 'respected' by the media. When he ran against the Great O, he was trashed by that same media. Now that he is back in DC he craves the attention, and will become the lefties' lap dog once more to get good press. No matter if they dress up as donkeys or elephants, the DC establishment is NOT about protecting the average American.

I have to tell you, in the spirit of Leo Durocher, I TOLD YOU SO!

Didn't believe me, did you? Now that you do believe me, it doesn't matter.

Am I angry? No. Am I forever being saddened that people who should know better keep fooling themselves when the truth is harsh and unpalatable? Yes.

Let me know if you need an explanation of the Durocher Program.

Alright, guys, I can take my medicine when I need it. I have admitted I was wrong to support McCain. What more can I say? I made a decision and it turned out to be the wrong one. I regret it.

Say a hundred 'Hail Mary's' do ten good deeds and never speak of it again except in confession, oh put a little something in the parish wine and whiskey fund.

the parish wine, beer, and whiskey fund has been totally replenished...and all kool-aid has been removed...

You are forgiven, my son. Go forth and sin no more.

Please do thoughtfully consider why you voted for that unprincipled POS.

He represented nothing more than obama-lite. Allowing mcain & obama to become the bookends of political thought and discourse was simply insane.

You would not have WASTED your vote in supporting Ron Paul. Or Chuck Baldwin.

There will likely never be another chance.
