Although the state of Minnesota went ahead and certified the clown Al Franken as their new Senator, questions remain as to the integrity of the recount in which Franken won by several hundred votes after the initial vote showed Coleman winning by over 700.
As we have reported on The Liberty Sphere, the entire recount process has been suspicious from the start. Early on, votes that had been cast for Coleman disappeared into thin air while votes for Franken seemed to show up out of nowhere--all in districts that are heavily Democratic.
But the Republican incumbent isn't going down without a fight.
Coleman has held up Franken's swearing in at the U.S. Senate by bringing a last-ditch effort lawsuit to the Minnesota Supreme Court. Coleman is challenging the certification of the recount vote.
What this means in practical terms is that it could be weeks or months before either Franken or Coleman can take their seat in the U.S. Senate.
