A deadly virus has hit the U.K. that has sent hospitals into panic mode.
So many are sick that medical facilities can't keep up with the patient load. The problem is complicated by the fact that hospitals are shutting down wards to new patients in order to contain the virus.
The bug, known as a 'norovirus,' is characterized by projectile vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and headaches. So severe are the symptoms that vulnerable patient populations such as children and the elderly are placed at high risk for death.
I sure hope this thing doesn't cross the Atlantic. Perhaps it's time to quarantine the entire U.K.!
