"Something of Historic Proportion is Happening"

Atlas has published a piece of commentary on the election and Barack Obama that is at once chilling and sobering. The piece was found in the comments section of a blog, but the words are most profound.

We may be facing something of historic proportion in America as a result of this election. Many of us can simply sense it. Others have been there before and survived it in places such as Germany, Poland, and Belgium.

They know what it smells like, what it tastes like, and what it feels like. They can pick up the stench of it in the air even before it happens.

And they believe America is in grave danger.

Read the commentary by clicking on the link above. It may change your perspective and your life.

You know, as one of Scotch-Irish descent, I kind of feel like my ancestors from the Borderlands region. They would never really build a house or establish anything permanent, because the next band of raiders or brigands would just come through and burn it down. I fear that is what will happen here.

Why?

Because, as a nation and society we have lost all sense of reason. The LORD God has removed all wisdom from this nation as we have turned away from Him wholesale. Now, there are a few, very few who still try to hold fast. However, it is not enough to stop the inevitable judgement and destruction we will experience.

For years, I have had several passages of Scripture that always come to mind at the oddest times. A couple of years ago, when watching a Heritage Flight at an ANG airshow, as the formation made the final turn to pass by the grandstand, it just came to mind:

"O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones." (Psalm 137:8-9)

Even long before then, the following was brought to mind periodically concerning America:

"And the LORD spake by his servants the prophets, saying, Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols: Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle. And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down." (II Kings 21:10-13)

What did Manasseh do that was so horrible?

"In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him. And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets. Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did; And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon." (II Kings 24:1-4)

If the LORD God would not pardon his own people for murdering their children, just what will He do to America? After all, as the Scripture (and history) plainly show, Israel was taken into captivity by Babylon, and all that Israel was, was destroyed. Perhaps we should then look at the aftermath of Hitler’s rule in Germany? Somehow, those German cities and towns just didn’t look the same when all was done.

What ultimately destroyed both the ancient Israelites and modern Germany was the outright rejection of the LORD God. This was followed by the people placing their faith in man, and the foolish promises of men.

The end is predictable. Even so, now it is America’s turn.

Nawww, he didn't change my perspective. In fact, he is late to the party. I saw this in 1972 and predicted its inevitability.

If he thinks people now think he is crazy, he should have experienced what I did for more than thirty years, especially in the early days when it wasn't nearly as obvious, but nonetheless happening.

Obama is not the instigator, he is just the tool and probably the final face. A face that will be imprinted on the coming atrocity against our society, but the preparations have been taking place for a long time. In that respect, it is different from Germany's fall, because Hitler was the driving force, Obama is just the culmination of it in our land.
