Israel's upcoming election for Prime Minister is of grave significance. The nation is at a crossroads.
Either Israel will continue on its path of self-destruction in an increasingly volatile scenario with Iran, Syria, and Iraq, or it will instead choose the tested and tried leadership of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
If ever there were a time for Netanyahu as Prime Minister of Israel, the time is now. If the present course is continued, Israel will attempt to appease those sworn to its total destruction by giving away half of Jerusalem and more of its land.
This is an exercise in futility, for appeasement never works with those who never waver from their single-minded goal of destroying a nation. Even if Israel turns over part of Jerusalem and other areas to Palestinian groups, we can rest assured that those groups will want even more and will persist in calling for Israel's destruction.
The most recent surveys show Netanyahu with the lead. But he has opposition. And that opposition will simply continue down the self-destructive path, if elected.
