Biden's Gaffe--The Defining Moment in Debate

Although the mainstream media will not mention it, Joe Biden committed the ultimate faux pas in last night's debate by claiming that the Vice-President of the United States does not preside over the U.S. Senate.

He also cited Article One of the U.S. Constitution as the proof.

Did Biden cheat his way through law school? We already know he has been guilty of plagiarism.

Any law school graduate should know that Article One of the U.S. Constitution describes the Legislative branch of government, not the Administrative branch.

Yet Biden stated that the Vice-President has nothing to do with the Legislative Branch since he is part of the Administrative Branch.

FACT CHECK! Article One on the Legislative branch spells out the duties of the Vice-President. 'He shall be President of the Senate.'

Biden erroneously and viciously attacked Dick Cheney for Cheney's view that the Vice-President is part of the Legislative as well as the Administrative branches of government. Yet Cheney is 100% correct according to the Constitution, and Palin was right in stating that the Constitution allows for flexibility in that office.

Further, Biden contends that the office of the Vice-President is exclusive to the Administrative branch. Yet Article Two of the Constitution, which describes the Administrative branch, says practically nothing about the Vice-President.

By any stretch of the imagination, Biden's gaffe is a major defining moment in the debate due to the seriousness of the subject, in addition to the fact that since Biden is a lawyer who has been in the Senate for 40 years, he should know better.

This matter goes straight to the issue of competence. Is Joe Biden competent enough to be Vice-President? And, is it prudent to elect a man who will be one heartbeat away from the Presidency when he knows shockingly little about the U.S. Constitution?

he's part of a matched set. The top of his ticket doesn't know much about the constitution either, and he claims to have taught it at the college level.

He believes rights are regionally adjustable.

True. Both Obama and Biden have shown that neither knows even an elementary knowledge of the Constitution.

When someone says that inalienable rights can be adjusted according to the region of the country, you know you are dealing with a complete ding-a-ling, or more likely a Commie.
