In light of the post below on Barack Obama's plan to nationalize or 'socialize' the Internet industry, THIS INFO is nothing less than ominous.
The Commie-loving, free-speech-squelching Google, which agreed to limit free speech on the Internet in exchange for doing business with the ChiComs, has endorsed Barack Obama.
Obama and Google. Add the term 'fascist' to the many ways we can describe Barack Obama.

You do know that Blogspot is Google run?
Where does that put you?
If Obama wins, you won't have to wait for January for the Google imposed censorship to take place.
I strongly suggest some other blog software, and perhaps on your own webspace.
I know that Blogspot is a Google enterprise. But for a complete web-building illiterate like me, it is about the only choice.
I have thought about leaving, but I also know that if Obama succeeds he will censor not only Google, but everybody.
Unfortunately, I am well aware of the difficulties of running your own blog from your own webspace.
However, there are folks out there who customize themes, and package blog and dynamic website software to make it just about as easy as it can get.
This goes along with the whole idea of liberty. Liberty is wonderful, but it does have its hazards — the freedom to fail being one of them. There is a price to pay for everything. I would much rather be free, and pay a higher price for that in overall effort, than be totally dependent upon the likes of Google.
I learned HTML programming and how to setup and maintain a blog because I had very little free money, and I couldn't bear the thought of being ignorant of what would be happening on my own website and blog if someone else were to set it up and maintain it.
That being stated, there are also ways around the censorship of the Internet. The Internet need not be the only form of mass, wide area networking. It would take effort, but the equipment, software, and know how is there to create a competitor to the Internet. The only reason it has not been done is the convenience and "low cost" of the Internet. Unfortunately, that has made it vulnerable to seizure and consequent shutdown.
When it all comes down, there will be a use for the hackers out there. After all, some Islamic hackers figured out how to setup and run a website on the Arkansas DOT web server and do so undetected for quite some time. If some private citizens hadn't brought it to Arkansas' attention, it would probably still be active today.
Well, it's an idea that I haven't put on the back burner yet, but there is so much to consider about building and maintaining your own site.
I'm not saying I'm not up to it, for I will do what I have to do. It's just deciding on a plan--a systematic approach, I suppose, so that there would be a smooth transition...if and when I decide to make the jump.
