Second Amendment News Roundup for 7/14/08

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs says pigs are flying over The Newyorker in light of their satirical magazine cover on Barack Obama, which has created such a stir.

Via Rezkorama, The Marathon Pundit comments on rumors that Barack Obama is considering U.S. Senator Chris Dodd as a running mate.

Squeaky has more information on the Memphis blogger meetup that is coming up very soon.

The Counterterrorism Blog has frightening information that terrorists may already be living and hiding here in the U.S., just waiting for the signal to strike with fury.

JR at A Keyboard and a .45 writes about his day at the shooting range yesterday.

Brigid at Home on the Range shows us what real self-defense looks like, along with some good eatin' to go with it!

David Codrea at War on Guns has an interesting follow-up to a piece that shows us how the government-run school system is raising a crop of good little subjects who have been thoroughly indoctrinated into the ways of statism.

Armed and Safe provides a good read on the RINOS who now run the Republican Party, one of whom is John McCain.

Alphecca says here we go with that global warming thing again...

Gateway Pundit posts the explosive story that Barack Obama admitted to lying to Jewish voters recently in a speech he gave on the Palestinian-Jerusalem situation. In other words, he still supports a divided Jerusalem, half of which would be controlled by the Palestinians. Tell me once again, why is ANYBODY except morons supporting this man for President?!

Sharp As a Marble gives us yet another example of guns mysteriously showing up in 'no gun zones.' Wow, what a surprise.

Well, it looks like McCain is scaring conservatives again, this time on assault weapons. Sebastian reports on the story.

Tam at a View from the Porch blogs on the cult of the split personality.

Michelle Malkin reports that by executive order President Bush has lifted the ban on offshore oil drilling. Good!

And now for a bit of humor. Texas Fred has a little item entitled, 'Top 10 Reasons A Gun is Favored Over a Woman.' Not sure sure I agree with the premise, but it's funny anyways...
