Rumors have been swirling around Washington for weeks that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is a top contender for John McCain's running mate. Apparently that rumor has been confirmed as a fact.
ABC News is reporting that not only is Rice being promoted for the Vice-Presidential position in a potential McCain Administration but she is actively seeking the job.
I have deep reservations about Rice. Her views on the Middle East, in my estimation, are unproductive and terribly lopsided against Israel.
On the other hand, she is fiercely pro-gun. Rice's story of growing up in Birmingham, Alabama is a perfect example of how important the gun was to oppressed blacks in the struggle for Civil Rights, particularly in light of the fact that gun control was first introduced primarily by racist whites to keep guns out of the hands of blacks.
My hunch? McCain is keeping Rice as an option should Barack Obama become the Democratic nominee. Thus, she is definitely on the short list.

Do you have a rational defense of the position that Israel should give away more and more of its land to people who will never be satisfied until they get it all and drive the Jews out of the area entirely or annihilate them?

last time I checked Israel (a country that is the size of New fricken Jersey) had the FOURTH MOST POWERFUL ARMY IN THE WORLD and was in no danger of annihilation in the least...last time I checked every time any country close to Israel tried to oppose Israel, Israel soundly and succinctly defeated them without too much effort...so where is this propaganda that they are on the very verge of extinction coming from?
And also....the last time I checked the "land" didn't belong to Israel ....Israel is daily bulldozing homes of Palestinians and building illegal settlements on illegally seized land...Israel isn't in the business of giving away anything they are in the business of stealing...
How's that for rational, do you have any rational defense for your belief in shady propaganda?

It seems to me that your so-called 'facts' are nothing more than Arab/Islamic/anti-Semitic, and 'Pelestinian' propaganda.
In addition, perhaps you should a few moments away from your swallowing of such propaganda and actually look at the map of the entire region. You will note that Muslims control an area of land much larger than the U.S. in comparison to a tiny strip of land that is Israel's.
Further, no matter how large Israel's army may be, the terrorists are on the other side, and they regularly do much more damage than any army, icluding the potential annihilation of Israel.
Do you not read the news? Do you not notice how many times Israel is attacked both by militias of palestinian thugs and terrorists?
Why don't you go ahead and admit it...you want to drive the Jews out of the region entirely, just like that people you defend. If this were not your ultimate goal, then why would you defend these thugs?
First of all, I'm not anti-semetic and indeed I don't think you even know the definition of the word semetic. Look it up. Palestinians are semetic genius.
Second of all many of the people who hold the same beliefs as I do are Jewish and they have in fact informed much of my opinion on this situation.

Many Jews in this country have sold out...to liberal propaganda, such as gun control, to supporting those who wish to annihilate fellow Jews in the Middle East.
These people are no better than those in Hamas or Hizbollah.
