A Lesson in Sheer Logic: LBJ Day for Hillary?

For all intents and purposes, on Monday the Clintons should have celebrated LBJ Day, named after former U.S. President Lyndon Baines Johnson.

Follow my logic here.

Hillary Rodham Clinton stated in a speech not long ago that had it not been for President Lyndon Johnson, then Martin Luther King, Jr.'s push for equality, brotherhood, and peace among the races would have amounted to absolutely nil, zilch, nada.

Mrs. Clinton stated, 'Martin Luther King, Jr.'s ideals were groundbreaking, but it took a U.S. President, Lyndon Johnson, to take those ideals and turn them into policies and laws that changed America.'

In other words, we appreciate the work of the Black Man, but after all, it took a White Man to actually get something done about the ideas of the Black Man.

Thus, if it was actually the White Man, President Lyndon Baines Johnson, who enacted the ideals of the Civil Rights Movement, shouldn't it actually be 'LBJ Day' that we celebrate in January, instead of Martin Luther King Day?

What if a conservative Republican had made this statement concerning LBJ and MLK?

They would have been run out of town on a rail quicker than Trent Lott was railroaded out of his post as Senate Majority Leader after he made his statement about Strom Thurmond.

Yet the mainstream media, of course, grants Hillary a pass. Instead, the whole thing is presented as just a racial squabble between Hussein Obama and Rodham Clinton, who are both nonetheless portrayed as darlings of Civil Rights.

I still think the Clintons were actually celebrating Lyndon Baines Johnson Day on Monday while pretending to honor the work of Martin Luther King.

Once again...Hillary is an asshole and continues to prove it...

I agree. The statement she made about MLK and LBJ should be enough, in normal conditions, to dog her relentlessly until she drops out of the race.

But, of course, these are not 'normal conditions.' Bill is campaining as if HE is running, and of course, CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN are all part of the 'Clinton Ladies Intervention Team' (CLIT).

They will do anything to get her elected.

LOL, there you go again with that CLIT thing, did you make that up yourself? If so, you are a comic genius.

You are right, that statement alone should have got her thrown out of the race, but thanks to the spin doctors she's still aloud to speak in public.

LOL! I wish I could claim it, but the honors go to Monica Crowley, commentator, columnist, and political pundit.
