Late-Breaking Update on Allenna Williams Ward

News has surfaced concerning the sentencing hearing for Allenna Williams Ward, the Clinton, South Carolina teacher who confessed to criminal sexual contact with at least 5 teenage boys.

For the complete story on the reason for the delay of sentencing, as well as a statement from State's Attorney Jerry Peace, click here:

Hmmmm. It has been a while since she pleaded guilty. I wonder what will happen. My guess is that she doesn't spend a whole lotta time in prison.

State's Attorney Jerry Peace stated just prior to the New Year break that he expected a sentencing hearing for Ms. Ward shortly after the holiday break.

The delay, according to Mr. Peace, is due to further investigations into the case, which we can safely assume means extensive psychiatric evaluations and testing for Ms. Ward.

She may well be sentenced to a mental health facility. OR she could be sentenced to prison along with regular psychiatric treatment.

Anyway, we will know soon.

I find this whole story amazing. I have read on other sites that she had sex with all 5 boys at the same time. Is that true? Or was she running around the town meeting the boys separately?

Is it consensus that she is guilty, or is there a possibility that she took the plea deal to avoid trial and the potential for a much longer sentence.

Finding information on this case has been very difficult. This is really the only site that I have found that has been covering the in depth, and for that I thank you. Does anyone have any other pictures of her, as I have only been able to find the booking picture and her yearbook picture. Thanks again for the coverage and keep us posted.

Thanks for your kind words.

I have no other information except what has already been provided, and that includes pictures of Ms. Ward.

Concerning her guilty plea, it was much more than just a plea bargain. She not only stated she did it but apologized in tears for the harm she did to the boys and to the community.

So it is assumed by everyone that she committed the crime? I haven't been keeping close tabs on the story, but it still seems beyond belief. I also wonder if she was having sex with all 5 at one time, or was she going around the town meeting different boys for sex? I find it difficult to believe that no one caught on before the story broke. Either there is information being withheld, or she has serious psychological issues.
Is there any other site that is covering the story in as much detail as you are? If so, can you provide us with a link. I have found coverage and discussion of the topic basically limited to this site.

We have assumed nothing. We have merely reported the events surrounding the case.

I know of no other site that has provided the coverage that we have.

Even so, there are certain details of this case to which we were never privvy. I have no idea about the specifics of the sexual acts that occurred.

We CAN assume that psychological evaluations are being done with Ms. Ward prior to her sentencing. This is one of the reasons for the delay of sentencing.

If she turns out to be innocent of the charges to which she pled guilty, that would certainly be yet another very odd twist to what has already been a very bizzarre case.

I read where another teacher was arrested in Clinton for a similar situation (Karen Robbins). In her situation, it was 1 boy instead of 5.

What's going on over in Clinton?

Strange stuff.

What in the name of God has been going on between Allenna and her husband?? What explanation has she given to him for her actions?? Why is he still with her and "Supporting" her. No man should feel compelled to stay with a woman whose vile activities mock her marriage vows. God help her husband.

Jackyboy...what do you mean what has been going on with Allenna and her husband? I know for a fact that she has never been truthful to him and still isn't being truthful. If I were you, I wouldn't just assume they are still together and he is supporting her. No one should assume anything unless they know the facts.

Well, I don't want to speak for jackboy, but we have gotten so little
information on this case it is hard to know what the truth is. All we have seen is Allenna's husband by
her side, supporting her. That's why
we "assume" they are still together.
If you know something different, give
us some details, which have been few
and far between in this case. Something as simple as have they been
seen going to church together? What's the buzz in the town? Mr. Peace says the delay in the judge's
making a ruling is due to "further investigations into the case". If
that means "extensive psychiatric
evaluations and testing for Ms. Ward", it's been almost 6 months!
These tests should have been completed by now. What the hell is going on here? There seems to be NO
interest by the press...amazing.

I can't believe this whole case. Who would have thought that a teacher from her background would end up having anal sex with multiple students? I have no idea why it has taken so long to sentence her, but I am interested in what happens with this case. I don't understand the lack of media coverage for it.

The last I heard, this case had nothing to do with her husband so why does anyone need to know anything about him and what he is doing. Please leave him out of it. I think he has been through enough. If I am not mistaken, you have not seen him in the media by her side since she plead so don't assume they are together. Like I said this case is about her not her husband or his family. Lets not take our eyes off of the real problem. As with all criminal cases, the media is the last to know anything. Thats the way it should be. There are too many people that have too much time on their hands that want to keep stuff stirred up.

Thanks for the update. This is the thing that is so neat about blogs. The comment section can be just as important, if not more so, than the posts themselves.

I know her father is a pastor of a small church in North Carolina. She has total support from her family. I say give her the maax, but I do indeed pray for the victims and her family.

I am constantly amazed at how people assume they know what is going on in a situation. Allenna has not been to church since her arrest last year, much less with her husband. As for him, he has filed for divorce; however, he stayed in the home until he filed. Remember, she was on house arrest in S.C. and her parents live in N.C. My son loved her deeply and still cares for her and her family. This case has affected my son and our family in a deeply profound way and I will never view a "story" about someone's family in such a careless way ever again to assume that I know what is going on. My son is going to work hard to forge ahead, despite the horrible year he has just been through. Allenna did what she did for whatever reason and I don't think anyone will dispute that she needs some psychological help, but I hope and pray that she also, will take this horrible event and learn from it and somehow one day be able to live a productive life. I also pray and hope these boys and their families can move on with spiritual and emotional healing.
