Washington, DC (TLS). Citing the need to address gun violence in the state, the legislature of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania passed a gun control bill that will require police departments to trace all illegal firearms confiscated from people under the age of 21 and report the guns to a state-police-run registry.
The other part of the bill will expand the definition of firearm under state law to include long-guns such as rifles and shotguns, providing more uniform application of state law.
The NRA worked with gun control advocates to pass this legislation.
As previously noted, it appears to us that the NRA is increasingly compromising important principles of liberty in order to cut deals with the devil.
