More Sad Developments in Britney Spears Free-Fall

Washington, DC (TLS). The spectacle of Britney Spears cutting off all of her hair over the weekend is ample evidence that intervention by those who truly care for her is essential. Time is of the essence.

The latest example of the free-fall of the pop star is a very sad chapter in the saga of a woman who started as a sweet Louisiana girl who made good, but who came under the influence of the elite of the Hollywood-entertainment complex. For monetary gain these moguls of the entertainment world proceed to remake young starlets into nothing less than sluts who are then raped repeatedly by the media and the general public.

A hairdresser in the shop where Britney received her bald hairdo stated today in an interview on Fox News that the singer was determined to get the job done no matter what anyone in the salon seemed to think. In fact, at one point the hairdresser states that Britney stood up, grabbed a pair of shears, went into the back, and proceeded to shave off all her hair herself.

Then, it was off to a tattoo shop.

The erratic behavior is cause for more than just a bit of concern among those who know Britney best, according to published reports. In fact, a group of emails were made public on Saturday between a former associate/employee of the singer and a group of friends/family, indicating that people are worried--very worried.

My friends, this is not fodder for senseless gossip-mongering and snickers. This is a person's life hanging in the balance. Anna Nicole Smith should be a wake-up call to the fact that erratic behavior is often a precursor to a major meltdown, or worse, death. If Britney is not to meet Anna Nicole's fate, then somebody who knows and loves her must exercise some 'tough love' and make an intervention.

In cases like this, tomorrow could be too late.
