The World Gone Mad

Is it just me, or does it appear that the entire world is going mad?

I swear with each passing day things get more ridiculous.

Here are a few examples:

*The City of Chicago has refused to allow the film makers of a movie on the life of Christ become sponsors of a Christmas festival. The reason? City officials are afraid some non-Christian might be offended. Wow. I am offended every single day by the blatant, anti-Christian bias of the politically correct in our government and news media, but I don't see them stopping with their verbal excrement just because I am offended. A CHRISTmas festival with no Christ. Mmmmm, makes perfect sense...if you are a complete numbskull.

*An Australian author was recently not allowed to publish a book he had written because the villain in his novel was a Muslim. How many movies have you seen on HBO, Lifetime, or other venues where the villain was a Bible-quoting Christian? I have seen too many to count. But let one novelist attempt to publish a book where the villain is a Muslim, and all heck breaks loose. This is another one for the looney-bin.

*A New York City councilman is calling for bloodshed over the killing of the three men outside a strip joint in a dangerous, drug-and-prostitute-infested part of town by police. One of the men was to be married that day. But the Press isn't telling you the whole story. Among the ominous three, there were a total of 17 prior arrests. Each had a significant record of illegal activity. They also used their vehicle as a killing machine, hitting and injuring a cop and then ramming a couple of police vehicles. Yet the Councilman claims this whole thing is racial in origin (although the majority of the cops in question are African American and Hispanic) and that 'he cannot urge calm in this situation.' Instead, he stated, 'We are not the only ones who can bleed,' an obvious threat of violence against police. This is over-the-top demagoguery that is very dangerous.

*Democrats, James Baker, and Henry Kissinger are urging President Bush to open talks with a man who denies the Holocaust ever occurred and who vows to annihilate Israel. I have already commented at length about this lame-brained scheme. If I say any more, I am afraid I will get a bit too profane for my own liking. Perhaps we should raise funds to ship supplies of prosac, thorazine, and haldol to Washington. It seems the Democrats and a few has-beens who are advising the President are in great need of these meds.

*The Pope referred to Islam as a 'religion of peace' in Turkey today. While I understand the diplomatic reality of having to say such a blatantly false thing in an attempt to squelch the furor of controversy over his prior remarks about Islam, I would say the Pope had it right the first time. It IS a bloody and violent religion. No amount of politically correct diplomatic talk is going to change that. I cringe when I hear perfectly level-headed men and women talk this way, including President Bush. I believe in calling a spade a spade, and Islam is NOT peace-loving! The notion is a lie. The only places where Muslims are peaceful are in those areas where they are in a tiny minority and can do very little harm.

*The death of the former KGB agent from radiation poisoning in England last week has fueled much speculation about the Kremlin's possible role in the matter, even resulting in fingers being pointed at Vladmir Putin. But bear this in mind--the agent converted to Islam. Russia is having its troubles with Islamic insurgents in certain sectors of the country. This entire matter goes much deeper than what meets the eye, and the religion of Islam is right in the middle of it. So, stay tuned. My hunch is that we are going to hear much more about the role of the Islamic insurgency in Russia being at the root of the problem surrounding the deseased agent.

As I said, the world has gone mad. Somehow this must stop or else the very future of the human race is in doubt. Somehow an angry, unstable chain has made its way into the gene pool.
