Mideast Erupts as World War Draws Closer

Bloomberg Online is reporting today that Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has once again threatened the West. Ahmadinejad predicted the collapse of Israel, the Unites States, and Great Britain for what he called their 'oppressive behavior.'

Meanwhile, James Baker, who is now advising the President on his Iraqi policy, is urging the Bush Administration to open talks with Iran. His views are echoed by top Democrats who appeared yesterday morning on the various Sunday news talk shows.

Apparently for these cut and run cowards it is perfectly acceptable to deal diplomatically with a tyrant who wishes to blow Israel off the map and then come after the U.S. and the U.K.

``The Zionist regime is on a steep downhill towards collapse and disgrace,'' Ahmandinejad told supporters at a rally of Basiji militia forces near Tehran today. In a reference to the U.S. and U.K., he said ``the collapse and crumbling of your devilish rule has started.'' The speech was carried live on state television.

Despite the explicitly stated goals of Iran to wipe out the West, the team now in power in Washington, including the Democrats who control Congress and the gang of pragmatist cowards from the administration of Bush I, wishes to engage in diplomatic talks with the barbaric regime. The Jihadists view this as a victory for their goals and evidence that the West is weakening its resolve to fight one of the most dangerous movements in the history of the world.

Meanwhile, U.S. representative to the United Nations Robert Bolton stated today that the future of the Middle East may well be decided this week. With Syria firmly behind Hezbollah in attempting to topple the Lebanese government, Bolton is pleading for U.S. aid to the government of Lebanon as a means of shoring up its fledgling democracy. If this democracy fails and Hezbollah gains control, then the eastern front in the war of Mideast domination will crumble to the Jihadists. Then, if Iraq fails, Iran will bring about the collapse of the western front.

With both the eastern and western fronts in a state of collapse, there will be no buffer to protect Israel from the bombs of Iran and Syria, and Hezbollah. The entire Middle East will be united in an extremist Muslim push to rid the earth of the nation of Israel. World War III will follow very quickly. The U.S. is under a treaty obligation to protect Israel in the event of a nuclear attack.

None of these ominous factors seem to penetrate the bone-heads who are now calling the shots in Washington. Unphased by the looming threat of world war, the Baker team, aided by Democrats, is all but throwing in the towel on an outright victory in the region, and opting instead for 'talks' that will somehow stop the march of Jihadists who know of no other goal except the eventual domination of the world.

Today, I am calling on President Bush to get rid of every yellow-bellied numbskull that is presently advising him on this situation. The Democrats do not control foreign policy. The Constitution grants this power to the Executive Branch. Bush can well tell the Democrats in Congress to go to Hell.

When millions of lives are at stake, when we face another Holocaust worse than the first one, when Israel faces annihilation, and when nuclear world war lurks in the shadows, this is no time to play footsies with cowards. We need a Harry Truman.

The question is, will President Bush step up to the plate and be that Truman in this ominous turn of events?
