20,000 Screaming Muslims Declare Jesus Is 'Prophet of Islam'

20,000 Muslims in Istanbul protested an upcoming visit of Pope Benedict. The protesters, seen in the image above, carried signs declaring that Jesus is not the Son of God but a prophet of Islam. (Click on the box if image cannot be seen).

This is really nothing new, but most people in my estimation do not comprehend the Muslim stance toward Christ nor their method of subduing, assimilating, and then conquering Christianity. Muslims normally do not attack Christ headon. They will claim they believe in Jesus too--just like Christians.

Listen to them talk a bit further, however, and it becomes clear that their beliefs are NOT consistent with those of Christianity. They believe in Jesus, alright. But he was a mere prophet as Mohammad was a prophet. And even then Mohammad was 'the greatest prophet.'

I saw this dynamic in action with my own eyes in a classroom on a major college campus in 1978. A Muslim leader had been invited to speak, and the Christians on campus were ready for him. However, the Muslim was ready as well. He began his speech by disarming the Christians by claiming that Muslims believe in Jesus every bit as much as Christians.

It took him nearly an hour to finally get around to explaining WHAT, exactly, Muslims believe about Jesus.

I can tell you it surely isn't what the Church teaches! Just as the protesters are yelling in the imaqe above, Jesus is 'not the Son of God,' but 'a prophet of Islam.'

When carried to its fullest logical conclusion, this line of thinking is ghastly. To Islam, Christians are merely misguided Muslims who need to be shown it's ok to believe in Jesus, but as a great prophet. They then need to have their eyes opened to the real truth, which is Mohammad is also a prophet like Jesus, except Mohammad is greater.

It is at precisely this point that the Muslims get ill as hornets. Refute this line of thinking, and you are immediately branded as an infidel. And, depending on where you live in the world, you are then either targeted as one who needs to be killed or as one who is to be shunned.

These people do not take kindly to any talk about Mohammad not being a prophet, or Jesus being God's Son. They get testy--VERY testy.

But this is only one piece of the danger we face. Islam is every bit as much a political movement as a religious one. It's political ideology is fascist, totalitarian, and highly restrictive. There is no such thing as liberty or personal freedom. The religious views of Islam are central to the political ideology, and the political ideology is the vehicle by which Muslims seek to rule the world from the Quran. In order to bring the world into submission under Allah, they must gain world domination as a totalitarian form of government.

Regardless of what your local friendly Muslim may tell you around the water cooler at work, make no mistake they are anti-Jesus and they are fascists. And they want YOU in their ranks.
