Send in the Goons--White House Turns on the Press

A popular song from the 70s was a tune by Judy Collins entitled, 'Send in the Clowns.' The title was used by this writer back in 2006 when the Democrats took control of Congress, and again when they maintained control in 2008 and Barack Obama ascended to the White House. It seemed to fit the behavior.
Now, however, a better title with which to describe the White House is 'send in the goons.' In keeping with the Chicago Way in which Barack Obama, his friend Rahm Emanel, and Valerie Jarrett were schooled, the Administration has become a joke in its tendency to embody the dubious description of 'government by thuggery.'

More Trouble at the Southern Border: Anti-American Curriculum

In the long struggle to contain a potentially explosive situation at the southern border, the state of Arizona has tried various means to secure the border and prevent the onslaught of illegal aliens--many of whom are criminals--in light of the fact that the Obama Administration refuses to enforce U.S. law that addresses the issue. That attempt by Arizona has been thwarted on every hand, not only by the federal government but by some who have a vested interest in stirring up ethnic and racial warfare by introducing into the curriculum of Arizona schools a so-called 'Mexican-American History' as an alternative to U.S. history. The alternative Mexican version teaches U.S. history from a Mexican point of view...

Vanderboegh has a follow-up on Rep. Darrell Issa's comments on the ATF gun smuggling scandal, which were given during a recent radio interview.

WRSA posts explosive reading indicating that if you are a Patriot, you are now considered a criminal.

Way Up North wants to put the Royal Wedding behind and move on.  Agreed!  Be sure to look at his report on gasoline prices in Alaska!  Folks, this is getting very bad.  $6 bucks per gallon is a reasonable expectation for mid-summer or sooner!

Around O-Town reports that 3 convicted terrorists have been granted citizenship by the Obama Administration.  Are we certain yet that this man and his Chicago thugs are a menace to America?

Tam has news from the 2nd worst President in U.S. history--James Earl Carter--who has been spouting off his gibberish again.

Brigid posts some funny stuff over at Home on the Range.  Take a look.  Good for a chuckle.

Days of our Trailers notes that those who engage in 'PSH' over guns are going nuts over the NRA convention in Pittsburgh.

Blonde Sagacity says that it appears that Obama and company embrace 'new technology' only when they can control it.  Why, of course.  The man is a control-freak and everything he does reflects it.

Alphecca reports that Democrats and liberals have demonstrated, once again, the 'new civility,' this time at the University of Iowa.

The Ol' Broad provides the political cartoon of the day.  Enjoy...

In My Weakness, What Then?

This is a common question for those of us who are reminded daily of our physical limitations, weaknesses, and maladies.  Hope is awfully hard to come by sometimes.

But this devotional answers the question.

You can find it at Martin Christian Ministries.

God bless you, and may the message and the song encourage you today.

Second Amendment News Roundup for 4/28/2011

Mike McCarville posts the political cartoon of the day on the Obama energy policy.

Way Up North has an important update concerning Alaskan oil.

Vanderboegh presents a panoramic view of Project Gunwalker stories around the Internet.

The Stiletto provides some updates to some news stories of interest, including the decision by Obama to retain Gitmo, the continually growing long arm of Big Brother, and reports of another recession, that is, if you believe the last one ended, which I don't.

Line in the Desert is a new site started by Jay of 21 Guns Salute, which keeps us informed about the battle for control of the southern border.  Excellent.  Go read.

Alphecca says it appears that the Violence Policy Center has been caught in a big lie about guns.

From Roberta X: 'One-Party Nation.'

Pamela Geller, our good friend up in New York, appeared on Fox Business Network to opine about the Obama birth certificate issue.  Pamela is always up for a good fights, and she never minces her words.

Behind the Parapet reports that a candidate in New Jersey was removed from the ballot because he did not meet the eligibility requirement.

It's not about the birth certificate but the Constitution

Today's commentary on the news that Obama finally released his birth certificate.

But it has never been about that, as you will see at Conservative Examiner.

This birth certificate itself is nothing more than a distraction.  The real issue is the Constitution itself and the moronic interpretations in modern times that have practically shredded it.

ZERO has done it yet again.  His war on American oil continues.

Cutting through the balderdash on the debt ceiling

Folks, there has been a lot of outright fear-mongering by Obama and the Democrats concerning the possible refusal of Republicans to allow the raising of the debt ceiling.

This article cuts through the crap at Conservative Examiner.

The biggest threat of our going into default is not refusing to raise the debt ceiling but the continued runaway spending by the Obama Administration--drunken, unbridled spending of borrowed money!
